Prayer Sayings

“I pray because I’m powerless to help myself….” I pray because I have a constant need, both when I’m awake and when I’m asleep. It has no effect on God. It has an effect on me.” Lewis, C.S.
“I have so much to do that I’m going to pray for the first three hours.” Martin Luther King, Jr.
What does it take for regular people to live up to that standard, and why should we? Ordinary people can’t be asked to put their lives on hold to pray, can they? Ordinary folks, on the other hand, cannot afford not to pray. The Lord has given us the gift of prayer and expects us to pray. Because prayer appears to be assumed of God’s followers, the Bible frequently says “when you pray,” rather than “if you pray.”

Prayer Verses from the Bible
“And pray in the Spirit with all types of petitions and requests on all occasions. Keep this in mind as you remain vigilant and continue to pray for all of the Lord’s people.” (6:18) (Ephesians 6:18)
“Continue to pray.” 5:17 (1 Thessalonians)
“Is there anyone in difficulty among you? Allow them to pray.” (James 5:13) If you’re looking for a unique way to express yourself, try
“Rejoice in hope, be patient in affliction, and pray faithfully.” (12:12) Romans 12:12
“Do not be concerned about anything; instead, offer your requests to God in every situation via prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving.” (4:6) (Philippians 4:6) (Philippians 4:7) (Philipp
The fact that we’re “supposed to” pray isn’t always enough to inspire us, yet prayer is much more than a guideline. Prayer is significant because it helps us become more like Jesus and reveals God’s heart and mind to us.

Prayer’s Importance 1. Prayer helps us become more like Jesus.

When we study at Jesus’ life, we can see that he prayed—with others (Luke 9:28), for others (Matthew 19:13-14), and on his own (Matthew 19:15). (Luke 5:16, Luke 6:12). It was ingrained in the way he viewed each day and every decision, as he devoted himself to spending time with his Father.

Prayer was clearly crucial to Jesus—it was his lifeline and his link to the Father in Heaven. It prepared him for the fights that lay ahead. It maintained the close friendship that had supported him. It also revealed God’s desires and plans for him.

Imitating Jesus’ deeds and living out his words should be part of a Christian’s objective of becoming more like him. We shall grow more like Jesus as we pray, and prayer will transform us.

I was shocked! I discovered a way to enjoy my morning coffee and fight the extra weight that was keeping me from seeing myself the way i wish!

What I love about it is that it is natural, Vegetarian, Non-GMO, Gluten free... Perfect for everyday use!

I felt a boost in my metabolism and amazingly, I didn't feel that much hungry as before!

2. Prayer reveals God’s heart to us.

“That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you,” Jesus prayed for his disciples in John 17 when he prayed for those who would believe in him (John 17:21).

Prayer allows us to become one with the Father and have the same relationship with him that Jesus did. The Bible is full with stories that show God’s desire for a close relationship with his people, and any meaningful relationship necessitates communication. A relationship will never progress if two people do not communicate with each other. Prayer is how we learn to know God since it is simply a conversation with him.

When we enter his presence, every pretense dissolves—there is nothing to conceal because he sees and knows all. Prayer humbles us because we recognize how strong, capable, and good God is and how much we need him as we spend time with him. God, on the other hand, accepts us just as we are, not because he wants us to stay that way, but because he understands that the relationship is what matters most.

We will desire to become more like him as we learn to adore him. God softens our hearts and allows us to forgive others when we find forgiveness through prayer. We shall share God’s compassion and mercy with others when we have experienced it. When we recognize that God’s grace is freely given, we recognize that no one is more or less deserving of God’s love than we are, and it alters our hearts and actions, allowing us to show others God’s abundant love.

3. Prayer demonstrates God’s wisdom.

The most appealing aspect of prayer is that it is a two-way communication. Yes, we will communicate to God, but we will also hear from him if we spend time with him and are open to accept. “If any of you lacks wisdom, ask God, who gives liberally to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you,” James 1:5 says.

Before choosing the 12 apostles, Jesus prayed all night (Luke 6:12-16), and he prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane to attempt to figure out what God wanted him to do. His time in prayer assisted him in aligning his will with the Father’s, just as our time with God will. We will grow to trust God and cherish his wisdom and advice after connecting with God’s heart and realizing how much he loves us.

When we spend time talking to God, he aligns our will with his, altering how we perceive a circumstance and respond to a problem.

We miss his responses sometimes (because we’re not listening or anticipating a different response, so we don’t recognize it when it comes), and other times the answer comes by reading the Bible or talking to others, but God will always respond. His wisdom much surpasses ours because he sees further, loves deeper, and has his sights set on an eternity with people he loves rather than immediate fulfillment. No one else can see or understand what he accomplishes, and he enjoys sharing his insight with us in prayer.
