Nobody wants blackheads so today we are looking into some great homemade Face Scrub For Blackheads that will help you eliminate them from your face and skin!
Homemade Face Scrub For Blackheads
Let’s get into these amazing Homemade Face Scrub For Blackheads that will help you have a better skin while keeping things natural!
1. Lemon and Salt Face Scrub
This lemon-and-salt face scrub is also known as the antibacterial face scrub.
Why? It uses two intense blackhead-fighting ingredients: lemon and salt.
Both of them are great for cleansing skin, leaving it fresh and dirt-free. Lemon removes all grime and dirt from the surface of your skin, preventing not only blackheads but also acne and whiteheads.
Even just only smelling lemon screams clean and fresh.
On the other hand, salt has antibacterial properties and can kill off the germs and bacteria that clog open pores.
2. Brown Sugar and Honey Face Scrub
Brown sugar and honey are both very tasty kitchen ingredients. Joined, they work hand-in-hand to gently exfoliate your skin.
Brown sugar is safe for all skin types which makes it perfect for sensitive skin.
Honey has been loved since ancient times as a great natural remedy for many ailments including dry skin.
3. Try a Honey Pat-Down
This is a bit different than the honey face wash, which means you don’t want to wet your face before you start this method. (
But you do want to have a clean face before beginning.
The honey that you will use honey should be very, very sticky if you want this to be as effective as possible.
Simply add a small amount of honey on your fingers and start rapidly patting the areas on your face where you want to remove blackheads.
The honey will stick to the stuff in your pores, and pull it out as you remove your fingers.
It will offer gentle antibacterial and antioxidant benefits, so any small remnants that may be left in your pores won’t oxidize (and turn black) quite as quickly.
4. Try a Cosmetic Clay Mask to Soak Up the Oils
Clays are awesome if you want to get rid of blackheads.
Remember, you do not have to have a special $50 jar of facial mask clay for this. You do not have to put essential oil into your mask (if you don’t want to, but you can).
All you need is cosmetic clay and water (or apple cider vinegar, which is how I like to do it).
Where do you get cosmetic clay? Mountain Rose Herbs carries a variety of it at very reasonable prices (bentonite, french green, rhassoul, and fuller’s earth).
But if you have a nearby herb shop, the chances are, they’ll have some there, too.
5. Why not try a Clean Toothbrush to the Area
Add some lemon juice on the toothbrush, along with a drop or two of oily-skin friendly oil like jojoba, tamanu, or neem.
Start by very gently scrubbing your blackhead areas with the head of your toothbrush.
You can rinse with water and reapply with lemon and oil if you feel like you need to. Just remember that you should do this gently. In circular motions.
One more thing, don’t do this more than once a week or around your eyes. And do NOT do this on any open sores, scratches, or cuts. Ever.
For everything to be fine you should learn to avoid anywhere delicate.
This is for you to understand that you shouldn’t brush your whole face with lemon juice and a toothbrush.
6. Baking soda and lemon mask
Baking soda is a natural exfoliator that helps to get rid of the dead skin cells, which ultimately results in blackheads.
On the other hand, lemon helps open the clogged pores and tightens them, leaving a very little scope for blackheads to find their way.
Take one tablespoon of baking soda and mix it with a half tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply this paste on your nose. Once it dries, rinse it off with lukewarm water.
7. Oatmeal scrub
Even though oats are good for your morning breakfast, it can do wonders for your skin too!
The scrub will not only help to de-clog the pores but also exfoliates the skin to give you a natural glow.
Here is how to get it done:
Take two tablespoons of oatmeal, three tablespoons of plain yogurt and a half lemon juice.
Mix it very well until you get a nice fine paste.
Apply this on to your nose and the most affected area. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water.
8. Masoor dal and milk face scrub for treating blackheads and whiteheads
Do you have sensitive skin and you can only go for a milder treatment to cure the black and whiteheads from your face? Then check this one!
This scrub cum pack with red lentils and milk will clear off the blackheads and whiteheads and will also nourish your skin, giving you a clearer complexion.
Here is how to get it done:
Soak 3 spoons of red lentils in raw milk overnight. In the morning grind the whole mixture to make a thick, granular paste.
You can use this paste for scrubbing your face and then let it set into a mask for 15 minutes.
Finish by scrubbing again with wet hands and then wash off with water.
9. Cinnamon and honey scrub for blackheads and whiteheads
Cinnamon has the ability to remove blackheads and whiteheads and honey helps in nourishing the skin and the natural anti-bacterial property of honey also ensures better protection from acne-causing bacteria.
Here is how to prepare it:
Add 1 spoon of cinnamon powder with a sufficient amount of honey to make a paste.
Use this mix for scrubbing the affected area on your face.
Scrub for 2-3 minutes in a circular motion with firm but light pressure.
Once you are done let it sit for 30 seconds and then scrub again and remove with a wet cotton ball before washing off with water.
