Have you ever considered why prayer is so important? Don’t be perplexed any longer. Here are twelve solid reasons why prayer is essential! The Importance of Prayer for 10 Reasons
Why Prayer Is Important In Your Everyday Life
1. Prayer is significant because it is a service.
Defined as the act of assisting or performing work for someone, a system that meets a public need, or a system that requires routine maintenance or repair.
That is why prayer is so vital!
We’re interceding on behalf of others. It’s how we assist others. An emotional hurt can be healed through prayer. At its most basic level, prayer is a mechanism that can suit the needs of the general population. It’s also the recommended strategy for keeping our spiritual health.
Do nothing out of selfishness or hollow conceit, but rather with humility of mind view one another as more important than yourself; look out not only for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others (Philippians 2:3-4).
When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord returned his fortunes, and the Lord doubled everything Job had (Job 42:10).
What I love about it is that it is natural, Vegetarian, Non-GMO, Gluten free... Perfect for everyday use!
I felt a boost in my metabolism and amazingly, I didn't feel that much hungry as before!
“However, I urge you to love your foes and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:44).
2. Prayer is significant because it is an act of submission to God.
We are instructed to pray.
It’s what God intended for us to do.
It’s ingrained in our fundamental being. We are to imitate Christ-like behavior because we were formed in His image, God’ image. Jesus prayed to stay in the will of the Father. As Christ imitators, we must pray in order to stay in His will.
Jesus woke up early the next morning and walked out to a remote location to pray (Mark 1:35).
My prayer isn’t for the whole world, but for the people you’ve given me, since they’re yours (John 17:1).
Along with Mary, Jesus’ mother, numerous other women, and Jesus’ brothers, they all came together and were continually united in prayer (Acts 1:14).
All of the believers focused their attention on the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, meal sharing (including the Lord’s Supper), and prayer (Acts 2:42).
The apostles can then devote their time to prayer and teaching the gospel (Acts 6:4).
3. Prayer is significant because it is the answer.
Prayer is a route to resolution, a way to discover a solution to a problem. It illuminates our challenges and difficult choices.
If you ask me, I’ll tell you amazing things you don’t know about the future (Jeremiah 33:3).
As a result, I advise you to keep asking, and you will get what you ask for. You’ll find it if you keep looking. Keep pounding, and the door will eventually open. Everyone who requests is granted. Everyone who looks for something finds it. And the door will be opened to everyone who knocks (Luke 11:9-10).
Then, if my people who bear my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land. Every prayer said in this spot will be heard with my eyes open and my ears open (2 Chronicles 7:14).
4. Prayer is significant because it is a form of communication.
God has been speaking to us since the beginning of time. We simply aren’t always in a position or state to hear him.
Even before and after their fall, Adam and Eve enjoyed conversations with the Father in the garden.
It is and always has been His desire to share His thoughts, promises, and instructions with us. Prayer is required if you want to communicate with our Lord.
“Be fruitful and multiply,” God said after blessing them (Genesis 1:28).
“Where are you?” the Lord God inquired of the man. ‘Genesis 3:9,’ says the Bible.
“Did someone tell you you were naked?” God, the Lord, inquired. “Have you eaten the fruit of the tree I told you not to eat?” Genesis 3:11 tells us that God created the world.
Have the Israelites construct a holy sanctuary for me so that I might live among them (Exodus 25:8).
I was the one who dragged them out of Egypt so that I might live among them (Exodus 29:46).
5. Prayer is significant because it is through it that we make requests.
God is enamored with us. He longs to bless us and shower us with His favor. Amazing things happen when our desires align with His desires for us.
When you pray, however, go away by yourself, close the door behind you, and pray to your Father alone. Your Father, who sees all, will then reward you (Matthew 6:6).
And the Holy Spirit is there for us in our times of need. We don’t know what God wants us to pray for, for example. The Holy Spirit, on the other hand, prays for us with groans that cannot be described in words. And the Father, who knows all hearts, understands what the Spirit is saying, since the Spirit intercedes on our behalf in accordance with God’s will (Romans 8:26-27).
Yet, because you don’t ask God for what you want, you don’t have it (James 4:2).
6. Prayer is significant because it is how we advance God’s kingdom.
When we lay down our agenda and pick up Christ’s, we are making the greatest sacrifice and act of submission.
God’s domain expands and the chances of others being rescued improve when we choose to be tiny so that He can be bigger. For this to happen, prayer is required.
“If you are willing, Father, please take away this cup of pain from me.” However, I want your desire to be carried out, not mine” (Luke 22:42).
He told him, “There’s one thing you haven’t done yet.” “Sell everything you own and give the proceeds to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven.” Then come along with me.” The man’s face slumped, and he walked away sad, because he had a lot of stuff (Mark 10:21-22).
“If any of you want to follow me, you must abandon your selfish ways, daily take up your cross, and follow me.” You will lose your life if you strive to hold on to it. You will save your life if you give up your life for my cause (Luke 9:23-24).
7. Prayer is significant because it is through it that we grow in wisdom.
The more you learn, the more you’ll realize that this isn’t just a statement from an ad. It refers to a larger concept of spiritual living.
The more information you have, the better prepared you will be. The more information you have, the better prepared you are to make decisions. You are more qualified to explain if you know more.
The more you know, the better you’ll be able to connect. The more information you have, the better you will be able to discern. The more you understand, the better you will be at defending the Gospel.
If you want to “know more,” you’ll need to pray.
Give me a compassionate heart so that I can properly manage your people and distinguish between right and wrong (1 Kings 3:9).
We pray that God would provide you with perfect awareness of his will as well as spiritual wisdom and understanding (Colossians 1:9).
I continuously pray for you, asking God, our Lord Jesus Christ’s wonderful Father, to give you spiritual understanding and insight so that you may grow in your knowledge of God (Ephesians 1:16-17).
If you need insight, simply ask our gracious God, and he will provide it (James 1:5).
8. Prayer is significant since it is through it that we obtain strength and confidence.
The enemy’s works include doubt, uncertainty, and confusion. He’ll go to any length to sway your opinion, clog your mind, and keep you thinking.
Prayer is essential for gaining strength and confidence.
Your heavenly Father will be standing on level ground. He is unflappable. He is unchangeable. He is the same as he was the day before, the day after, and the day after that. It’s a sure thing.
We now have this light beaming in our souls, but we are frail clay jars holding this priceless treasure. This demonstrates that our immense power comes from God, not from us (2 Corinthians 4:7).
I also pray that you would recognize God’s enormous power for those of us who believe in him. The same tremendous force that raised Christ from the grave and placed him at God’s right hand in the celestial realms is at work here (Ephesians 1:19-20).
God has given us a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline, not of fear and timidity (2Timothy 1:7).
Because you know that when your faith is put to the test, your perseverance can increase. So let it grow, for when you’ve reached the pinnacle of your endurance, you’ll be perfect and complete, requiring nothing else (James 1:3-4).
9. Prayer is significant because it is the means by which we rebuke the devil.
You must be unrelenting in rebuking the devil because he is tireless in his pursuit of you. Every single day. Each and every hour. If necessary, every minute.
Stand at the door, like the woman in War Room, and say, “You can’t take my marriage.” You are not permitted to have my daughter. You can’t have my man, either. You are no longer welcome in this residence because it has been taken over by new management!”
Maybe it’s just a movie, yet it’s evident that prayer is required.
So, before God, humble yourselves. The devil will fly from you if you resist him. Draw near to God, and God will draw near to you (James 4:7).
We attack with the weapons of righteousness in our right hand and defend with the weapons of righteousness in our left hand (2 Corinthians 6:7).
“Get out of here, Satan!” For me, you are a hazardous trap. You’re only seeing things from a human perspective, not from God’s” (Matthew 16:23).
“Go, Satan!” Jesus shouted to him. ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and serve him alone,’ it says.” (Matthew 4:10, NIV)
10. Prayer is significant because it is the means through which we exorcise devils from our life.
Keep an eye on what you let into your life. Keep an eye on the doors you open.
What appears to be harmless enjoyment could be a way for the adversary to infiltrate and establish a stronghold.
Ouija boards, palm reading, and tarot cards are all much more deadly than you may think. If you want to get rid of these things from your life, you’ll need to pray.
The enemy detects delicate spots, unhealed wounds, and unforgiveness and exploits them to break us apart. Prayer, on the other hand, can help you take control.
Jesus summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority to cast out demons and heal any disease or ailment (Matthew 10:1).
The twelve apostles were sent forth by Jesus with the following instructions: “Go and declare to them that the kingdom of Heaven is near.” Heal the ill, revive the dead, and cure leprosy patients.
