Oil Cleanser (Step 1)

In the evenings, we recommend employing a double cleaning procedure to remove makeup, SPF, and any other pollutants from the day. An oil-based cleanser and a foamy cleanser are used in double-cleansing. Because 1) the cleanser works on the surface of the skin and isn’t present enough to clog or sink into the skin 2) the oil in these cleansers is safe to use on any skin type, you don’t have to worry about an oil-based cleanser blocking your pores or creating breakouts. These oils will not make you feel clogged, oily, or as if you’re about to break out.

The oil cleanser is applied to a dry face, immediately over makeup, using dry hands. It’s rubbed into the skin, even over eye makeup, before being washed off. Make sure you’re rinsing all of the oil off of your skin before applying the foamy cleanser, and use a bit less oil in the morning than you would at night.

The Shangpree S-Energy Cleansing Gel will be used in this package.

This oil-based cleanser is actually a gel that melts onto the skin to remove makeup, oil-based impurities, and dirt while hydrating the skin. Lavender balances sebum and soothes skin, while oxygen promotes collagen production and is a natural anti-inflammatory. This is a great first-cleanser for all skin types, but especially sensitive and breakout-prone skin, because it is non-comedogenic despite being oil-based.

The second step is to use a foaming cleanser.

For several reasons, using a foamy cleanser first thing in the morning is vital. It removes any impurities that have accumulated overnight on your skin. Your skin produces oils while you sleep. Before you begin your routine, you should first balance your skin. Furthermore, starting your regimen with a clean canvas is preferable because it allows your products to absorb with less of a barrier of entry. You won’t get the best results if your toner is applied to skin that hasn’t been cleansed.

I was shocked! I discovered a way to enjoy my morning coffee and fight the extra weight that was keeping me from seeing myself the way i wish!

What I love about it is that it is natural, Vegetarian, Non-GMO, Gluten free... Perfect for everyday use!

I felt a boost in my metabolism and amazingly, I didn't feel that much hungry as before!

The SRB Enzyme Powder Wash will be used in this kit. Rice bran extract is used in this unique cleanser to gently cleanse and exfoliate skin for a brighter, softer complexion. Anti-inflammatory properties in rice bran extract aid in the healing of chapped and damaged skin. Due to natural amino acid surfactants, the dry cleanser maintains a low pH of 5.5, ensuring that it does not strip skin or damage the moisture barrier.

To use, moisten your skin with lukewarm water, add a small amount of water to your hands (about 2 tablespoons), and dispense about 1 gram of powder into your palm. Rub your hands together to make a foam out of the powder. Use small circular motions to massage onto wet skin. Rinse the face thoroughly, making sure to remove any cleaner residue, and pat the skin dry with a clean towel (unless you’re using an exfoliator). Additionally, the SRB Enzyme Powder Wash can be used as an exfoliator!

Exfoliator (Step 3) (1-3 times per week)

If you want your skin to be more radiant, glowing, and smooth so that products can be applied more easily, you should exfoliate on a regular basis. Exfoliation helps to remove surface dead skin cells and encourage cell turnover. It can benefit all skin types and concerns as it helps to even out skin tone, address hyperpigmentation, smooth our skin texture, and remove dead skin to prevent dirt and oils from getting clogged within the pores. Morning is an excellent time to do this. If you exfoliate in the evening, your skin will renew and rejuvenate overnight, causing some of your efforts to be lost.

To use: After cleansing, on wet skin, apply a dime-sized amount of product to your hands. Gently massage over the face, paying close attention to sensitive areas as well as areas that are often overlooked (jawline, around the nose, etc). (jawline, around the nose, etc.). Don’t scrub aggressively as this can cause irritation very quickly and hurt your skin more than it helps. Rinse the product thoroughly before patting the skin dry. This scrub should be used 1-3 times per week in the mornings.

The Mizon Apple Smoothie Peeling Gel will be used in this kit. Without harsh chemicals or skin-irritating microbeads, this ultra-gentle exfoliating gel removes dead skin cells and grime from the skin. A blend of fruit and botanical ingredients aids in skin renewal. Citrus extracts work to brighten skin, while natural papaya extract contains papain, which “digests” dead skin tissue while leaving fresh, healthy tissue intact for quick and effective exfoliation. Apple extract contains natural AHAs that gently exfoliate skin, but it also acts as an astringent, tightening pores and assisting in the removal of acne-causing bacteria. Dirt and dead skin are carefully removed, leaving you with silky smooth skin.

Toner (Step 4)

It’s time to tone up. A toner should be the second step in your process. The basic purpose of a toner is to balance the pH of the skin and gently remove dead skin cells. This is significant because a better surface for serums and lotions is created when the skin’s pH is corrected and dead skin is eliminated. If you omit this phase, your regimen will be less effective and your benefits will be less noticeable.

To use, dab a cotton pad with a dime-sized amount of toner. Sweep your hand across your face. Before moving on to the next phase, give it time to assimilate.

The Be the Skin Botanical Nutrition Toner will be used in this kit. An all-natural toner that uses botanicals and time-honored herbs to regulate the pH level of the skin. Aids in the preparation of the skin for subsequent serums and lotions.

While washing your face is necessary for eliminating debris, makeup, and oil, it can also rob your skin of its natural oils. Charlotte recommends using a moisturizing toner after cleansing to restore equilibrium to your skin. “Many toners are alcohol-based and drying, whereas toners in Korea are all about hydration,” she explains. “The Korean skincare philosophy is to offer more hydration and nourishment to the skin rather than stripping and drying it out.”

Toners are typically very watery and absorb quickly into the skin, so they should be used as one of the first steps in your routine on clean, dry skin. You can either swipe it across your skin with a cotton pad or pour some into your palms and press it into your skin.

Step 5: Emphasis

It is, in essence, the first step. Allow me to explain. It’s possible that the next phase in your regimen will be unfamiliar to you. A Korean skincare routine is incomplete without an essence. An essence is a fluid serum that makes it easier for your skin to absorb ingredients. It moisturizes the skin lightly and absorbs rapidly.

To use, apply to a cotton pad and gently pat into the skin, or apply to your hands and gently pat into the skin. You may ensure that the product is absorbed and applied effectively by patting it onto your face.

The Olivarrier Dual Moist Hyaluron Essence will be used in this kit. This concentrated essence is a viscous serum-like product that is jam-packed with squalane, panthenol, hyaluronic acid, oatmeal, broccoli, and ceramides, all of which work together to soothe and hydrate skin. It contains micro hyaluronic acid, which hydrates the skin from within by sinking deep into the skin. Squalane goes even further to provide skin with not only nourishment but also protection and strength. Madecassoide and ceramides help to rebuild the skin’s barrier, allowing it to heal faster. What were the outcomes? The skin is deeply moisturized and fed, and it receives the nutrients it requires to help it repair quickly.

Sheet Mask (Step 6) (1-3 times per week)

Sheet masks serve to provide deep relief for skin issues by utilizing specialized components to achieve certain outcomes. Are you looking to brighten your skin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, treat breakouts, or hydrate your skin? Use a sheet mask that suits your needs. These allow you to tailor your skincare routine to your skin’s needs on that particular day. These can be used in the morning or at night.

To use, remove the mask from the package and open it. Unfold the mask and place it on your face. If the packaging has a time limit (usually 10-30 minutes), be sure to remove it when the time is up. Remove the mask and gently massage the remaining essence into your skin. Washing off your skin is not a good idea. You can either continue with your routine and apply your serums, or skip the serums and move on to the eye cream stage. It all depends on how much time you have available and how your skin is feeling on that particular day.

The Peach & Lily Good Skin Day Mask is included in this kit. For a beautiful glow and the ultimate good skin day, this mask delivers hydration deep into the skin, important minerals and vitamins, a blast of antioxidants, and brightening agents. When you apply this mask to your face, you’ll notice that it cools your skin, which helps combat inflammation, which is a major factor in keeping you from having a good skin day. We avoided synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, alcohol, parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, and formaldehyde in these premium sheet masks. We then stuffed them with powerful ingredients that show results right away and over time.

Serums are the seventh step.

It’s now all about you. You can layer one or more serums during the serum step of your routine to achieve your skincare goals. Serums are concentrated treatments containing ultra-small molecules that target specific skin issues. This is where you can tailor your routine to your time constraints as well as your skin’s requirements. If you only have a limited amount of time, apply one serum during the day and another in the evening. If you have a busier morning, apply once in the morning and both at night.

It’s genuinely a customized step that will allow you to attain your skincare goals and not take up too much time. Another advantage of these products is that their light texture allows them to soak fast into the skin.

 Detoxifying Oil (Makeup Remover)

Step one begins with cleansing oil and is the first of a two-step process known as double-cleansing (a makeup-removing formula that gently breaks down and dissolves makeup, grime, and oil, then washes them away cleanly).

The application is the same whether your washing oil comes in the form of an oil with a pump or a balm that melts into the skin: Apply a quarter-size dollop to dry skin (yes, it must be dry) and massage for 20 seconds before rinsing. Cleaning oils are water-soluble, which means they won’t leave an oily, pore-clogging residue behind.

Cleanser that is based on water

Cho claims that the double-cleanse is the greatest skin-changing discovery she’s made in her K-Beauty journey, and with good reason: It gets your face really, very clean without stripping it or aggravating it because only gentle solutions are used. So, after washing away your oil, cleanse again with your preferred water-based face wash, which might be a cream (for dry skin), a foam (for oily skin), or a gel (for combo skin) (for combination skin).

 Use an exfoliator

Physical and chemical exfoliators are the two types of exfoliators available. A physical exfoliant is gritty, abrasive, or nubby and aims to physically slough away dead skin cells for a smoother surface (think scrubs, washcloths, and facial brushes).

The only (significant) disadvantage? Physical exfoliators are typically far too abrasive for the majority of individuals, particularly those with sensitive skin, as they can cause micro-tears in the skin’s surface. Fun! If you insist on exfoliating physically, Charlotte suggests using a microfiber cloth or a mild mask with natural sugars. You might also simply use a chemical exfoliant.

Chemical formulations use skin-loving acids to remove dead skin cells, smooth bumps, clear pores, and reduce discoloration in a gentle manner. The advantages are numerous, and they are usually far less abrasive than a manual scrub. To be extra safe, use BHA acids (beta hydroxy acids, such as salicylic acid) for oily, acne-prone skin and AHA acids (alpha-hydroxy acids, such as lactic or glycolic acid) for sensitive or dry skin only once a day, preferably at night.

The essence of everything

You can now proceed with all of the fun treatment options now that your skin has been cleaned and prepped. It’s entirely up to you what you use in the next four steps (this is where the customization really shines), but Charlotte says that essence is a must-have in a Korean skincare routine. Korean essences are typically watery, similar to toners, and can be applied with your palms or as a spray mist.

“BUT WAIT!” you exclaim. “Aren’t toners and essences the same thing?” you might wonder. Both yes and no. In many ways (consistency and packaging), they’re extremely similar, however, an essence would be used to augment what a toner doesn’t provide. “Toner will rehydrate your skin,” Cho adds, “but essences usually contain some concentrated active ingredient that goes beyond what toner can provide,” such as brighteners, softeners, and plumpers. Apply these over your toner, in place of toner, or don’t use them at all! Keep in mind that this is a menu, not a recipe.

Sheet Mask

Sheet masks, oh how I love them. Another fave of K-Beauty. Treat yourself to a mask if you have an afternoon to kill on the weekend, but don’t obsess about it otherwise. Sheet masks come in a variety of shapes and styles, but the basic purpose is hydration once again. “Because the majority of your skincare evaporates as it dries, the theory behind K-Beauty is that the more you hydrate and layer, the more you lock in those components and the more good results you’ll see,” Charlotte explains.

Ampoule/Serum

You’ve definitely heard of a serum, but what about an ampoule? Perhaps not so much. So here are some quick facts: A serum contains concentrated active ingredients that address a specific concern, such as dullness, dark spots, fine lines, and so on, whereas an ampoule (also known as a booster) contains a higher concentration and is typically used only when you really need it, such as after a night out or a bad night’s sleep. Because serums/ampoules are thicker than essences but thinner than moisturizers, they should be used first, before any creams, lotions, or oils.

Eye Cream

An eye cream may be too heavy to wear under makeup during the day, but it’s a fantastic source of hydration for your fine wrinkles at night. Use your weakest finger—specifically, your ring finger—to gently pat it into your skin all-around your eyes (including over your lids and under your eyes).

Moisturizing cream

Listen, moisturizer is an unavoidable component in any skincare routine because your face requires this final layer of hydration in order to function properly—much like your body requires water to exist. It not only acts as a barrier to keep all of the moisturizing products you’ve been using in place, but it also aids in the restoration of your skin’s health. If you have dry skin, opt for a heavier cream formula, whereas if you have oily or acne-prone skin, opt for a gel formula. Try an emulsion—a K-Beauty hybrid between a gel and a cream—if you’re a little bit of everything. Emulsions are silky and light, but thick enough to moisturize skin profoundly. They should be applied morning and night, especially during the colder months. Korean skincare routine for combination skin

Sunscreen

Because skin cancer is scary, and dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and premature aging aren’t either, here’s the other non-negotiable step in your skincare routine. Even if you dislike the feel of sunscreen or are concerned that it will cause breakouts, this isn’t an excuse because there are so many different options that will work with your skin type.

And it doesn’t matter which sunscreen you use in K-Beauty as long as you use it every day. Because if you don’t protect your face from sun damage, you’re effectively undoing all of your previous skincare efforts. Sheet masks are not cheap. Serums are not cheap. Wear sunscreen and don’t throw it away.
